Seventeen-year-old Sam Stark knows how to fight. As a national-champion martial artist, she trusts discipline, training, and what she can see.
Then her grandfather dies and leaves her a mysterious jade amulet—and a final warning: Protect it.
Suddenly, the impossible is everywhere. Demons are hunting her. Family secrets are beginning to unravel. And the eccentric aunt Sam never quite believed may have been telling the truth all along.
With danger closing in and no way to know whom she can trust, Sam must discover what the amulet can do—and whether the skills that made her a champion are enough when the enemy isn’t entirely human.
The Jade Amulet is the first book in The Twelve Guardians, a young adult urban fantasy series blending martial arts, ancient mythology, supernatural mystery, friendship, and betrayal.
